Fabric-faced acoustic panels, made in our workshop and set out to your room, for cinemas, snugs and any space that sounds harder than it looks.
Acoustic panel walling is upholstery that happens to be vertical. Panels are built in our workshop, wrapped in cloth the same way a chair is, and fitted to the wall in a set-out drawn for that room. What you get is a wall that is soft to the eye and to the ear.
Hard rooms are loud rooms. Plaster, glass, a tiled or timber floor and a high ceiling give sound nothing to land on, so it comes back at you: speech gets tiring, a television needs turning up, and a good room becomes one nobody sits in for long. Fabric-faced panels give that sound somewhere to go.
Set out to the room, not to a standard size.
Every wall is measured and drawn before anything is cut. The grid is set out so the panels land where the room wants them: level with a door head, square to a chimney breast, scribed along the rake of an apex ceiling. Sockets, switches and speakers are cut around rather than worked round afterwards.
The cloth is yours to choose, from the same library as the curtains and the sofa, so the wall can disappear into a scheme or become the thing the room is about. Most walls are one cloth with a single patterned panel set into the grid, which is the version in the film.
The room where it matters most.
A home cinema or a media wall is where panelling stops being a treatment stuck to a room and becomes the design of it: the panelling carries the screen wall, the sound has somewhere to go, and the whole thing is set out as one piece rather than assembled from parts.

It is the same workshop, the same fitters and the same cloth as everything else we make, which is the reason to have it done by an upholsterer rather than bought as a kit. A panel that is upholstered properly stays tight, the corners stay square, and the seams fall where they were drawn.
