Stripped back. Reborn.
A tired frame is not a problem. It is a starting point. We take it back to the wood, then build it up again by hand, spring by spring.
If a piece has served you well, it is usually worth more than its replacement. Most new furniture is not built the way yours was. We take a tired piece back to the bare frame and rebuild it by hand, layer by layer, for another twenty years of life and often better than the day it was made.
Some pieces are kept for what they are worth. Others for what they mean. A chair passed down a family carries something no new one can. We restore the comfort and the look without losing the character.
There is a quieter reason too. It takes around a thousand times more carbon to build a piece from new than to restore a good one. Reupholstery is the considered choice, for the room and for everything beyond it.

Questions, answered.
Yes. Generally, older furniture has the best quality frames. We strip everything back to the wood and rebuild using traditional upholstery techniques and materials such as hand tying the springs and using fibre and horsehair. This keeps the furniture true to its age and allows many more years of use.
The cost of reupholstery is comparable to buying new of a similar quality. Send us a photo and a brief overview and we will send you a personal reply quoting your project using an average price fabric. Once approved we will arrange an appointment either at our showroom or in your home.
