About this colour

This shade reads as a muted, warm neutral with enough grey in it to keep the colour from turning too creamy. On a wall, #CBC3BA lifts light gently rather than bouncing it back, so it gives a room a composed, low-glare finish. In a north-facing room it can cool slightly and show more of its grey-beige side; in south light it turns warmer and more inviting, with the beige coming forward. It works well beside natural oak, walnut and painted joinery in off-white or deeper taupe, and it gives a quiet backdrop to linen, boucle and patterned upholstery. In Flat Matt and Claypaint it will feel softer and more grounded, while Eggshell or Soft Sheen will bring it a little closer to woodwork and cabinetry.

How to use it

Sunday Soul suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a neutral that feels warm without being cream. It pairs neatly with timber furniture, pale curtains and upholstered pieces in stone, fawn, olive or muted blue.

A warm neutral like this gives walls an easy, settled backdrop without looking white.
