About this fabric

The swatch shows closely spaced vertical threads with irregular tonal variation, creating a fine, broken stripe effect. Charcoal-black areas sit beside softer grey highlights, giving the colourway a smoky depth that changes gently across the surface. The dense woven appearance makes it visually suited to upholstery, particularly where a quiet, textural finish is preferred. No additional composition, width, rub-test or performance specification is supplied for this SKU.

How to use it

Use Duino Ardesia on a tailored armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool slate tone can anchor a room without becoming stark black. Pair it with pale stone, chalky grey or warm timber to draw out the lighter threads in the weave.

The cool slate-grey ground and fine vertical variation bring depth to upholstered seating without introducing a strong motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
