About this fabric

The Ficelle colourway has a muted, earthy depth rather than a crisp beige appearance, with darker taupe sections receding into the folds and lighter areas catching the light. Fine horizontal and slightly irregular striations are visible throughout the weave, giving the surface a soft slubbed character. The pronounced vertical folds show that the cloth has a supple, fluid handle while retaining enough visual body to read as substantial. Its restrained tonal variation makes the texture more noticeable than any decorative motif.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe-grey in relaxed curtains, Roman blinds or softly tailored seating, pairing it with chalky off-whites, weathered timber and deeper brown accents. The mineral undertone also works well with stone, plaster and other quiet natural finishes.

A softly textured taupe-grey cloth whose fluid folds suit relaxed upholstery and drapery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
