About this fabric

This drapery-weight colourway reads as cool and luminous, with a soft grey base that is lightened by near-white raised-looking traces. Its closely spaced vertical striations create a gently weathered, almost painterly surface rather than a bold repeat. The texture remains quiet at a distance, while the uneven tonal marks become more apparent as the eye moves across the fabric. M655 Silverbirch is suited to the airy, diffused quality associated with sheer window treatments.

How to use it

Pair M655 Silverbirch with chalk white, pale stone and cool oak for a restrained, light-filled scheme. Its silvery tone also works as a softening layer behind darker grey or charcoal furnishings.

Use this pale, light-catching grey for softly diffused curtains in calm, tonal rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
