About this fabric

The fabric is formed from closely spaced diagonal marks that create a neat, small-scale herringbone texture across the surface. Its grey tone sits on the cooler side, with muted charcoal and silvery threads giving the cloth gentle depth rather than a flat block of colour. In the gathered areas, the weave shifts between lighter and darker grey as the surface turns towards the light. The balanced weight visible here makes this colourway suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Rowboat Gull to bring a cool, tailored grey to an armchair, headboard or simple curtain. Pair it with chalky whites, smoked timber and darker charcoal accents to draw out the weave’s quiet contrast.

A cool, finely textured grey herringbone for tailored upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
