Îles du Vent Fabric5052-08

Trinidad - Cendre presents a deep charcoal-grey surface with a compact, irregular woven texture. Subtle tonal variation across the close weave keeps the dark colour from appearing flat.

About this fabric

The dense textile surface is formed by small, closely packed loops and interlaced fibres, creating a softly nubby appearance rather than a printed motif. Its cool charcoal tone shifts gently between graphite and softer grey as the textured threads catch the light. This is catalogued as a fabric, and no performance features are noted in the supplied specification. The restrained scale and dark, even ground make the texture particularly legible across upholstered forms.

How to use it

Use Cendre on a compact armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool charcoal tone can anchor lighter stone, chalk and pale-grey furnishings. Pair it with brushed metal or warm timber to bring out the subtle tonal variation in the weave.

The charcoal-grey ground and compact woven texture bring quiet depth to upholstered seating and panels.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
