Koto Ebony

Sami FabricL9447-03

Koto Ebony in Sami reads as a soft ivory white with a barely-there linear stripe that becomes visible as the fabric folds. The overall effect is calm and pale, with just enough texture to stop the surface from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This colourway has a cool, soft ivory base with delicate grey-beige striping that appears and disappears across the folds. The weave looks fine and lightly textured rather than heavy, which suits the fabric’s broad 285cm width and the fluid way it falls in the image. Made from 58% Linen, 39% Wool and 3% Polyester, it has a natural, slightly dry handle with a gentle softening from the wool content. The repeat is small at approximately V 2cm / H 1cm, so the linear rhythm stays understated and refined rather than bold. With care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code Z, it is a practical decorative textile for elegant window dressing.

How to use it

Use this pale, restrained shade for full-length curtains, sheers with presence, or soft layered treatments where the subtle stripe can read in daylight. It works especially well with pale timber, stone, and muted grey upholstery, keeping a room bright and composed.

A quietly elegant choice for airy curtains where the fine linear texture can catch the light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
