Koto Shell

Sami FabricL9447-02

Koto Shell has a light, shell-like clarity with faint tonal striping that reads softly across the cloth. The open, woven surface lets the pale beige and warm grey threads blur together into a calm, luminous finish.

About this fabric

This colourway is a quiet blend of creamy beige, soft grey and a trace of warm linen undertone, so it feels light rather than creamy or yellow. The fabric shows a fine horizontal striation across the full width, giving the surface a gentle, cloth-like rhythm that is visible even in the folds. With a composition of 58% Linen, 39% Wool and 3% Polyester, it has the natural character of linen and wool while keeping enough stability for elegant hanging. The 285cm approximate width makes it especially practical for full-height curtains, and the repeat is a subtle V 2cm / H 1cm approx, so the pattern remains understated rather than decorative. Care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code Z complete the specification for interior use.

How to use it

This pale shell tone works beautifully in rooms that need softness without losing light, especially against oak, stone or putty-painted walls. Use it for full-length drapery where the airy weave can diffuse daylight and add a quiet, textural layer.

Use in airy curtains where the subtle stripe and pale shell tone can soften a room without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
