About this fabric

The plain weave is finely textured, with tiny variations in the threads creating a softly mottled, tactile finish rather than a completely flat surface. This Assenzio colourway has a light, muted olive tone warmed by yellow undertones, giving it a natural and gently aged appearance. With no visible pattern or directional motif, the cloth presents as calm and continuous across a curtain. The close weave and restrained tonal variation make the texture noticeable at nearer viewing distances without dominating the room.

How to use it

Use Millais Assenzio for full-length curtains in rooms with pale timber, warm whites or stone upholstery, where its yellow-olive tone can add quiet natural colour. It also works well alongside muted sage, linen and aged brass accents.

A softly muted yellow-olive weave that brings gentle warmth and understated texture to curtains and blinds.

Pairs well with

Millais Assenzio is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
