Garbato Garzato Blue

Fabrics Fabric100

Garbato Garzato Blue appears as a deep, inky navy that approaches black at the edges and in the denser areas of the weave. Its plain surface is enlivened by a very fine diagonal texture visible across the swatch.

About this fabric

The tightly woven surface has a restrained twill-like direction rather than a printed motif, giving the blue a quiet tonal movement as it catches the light. This is a cool, low-saturation colourway, with the near-black depth making it read more atmospheric than bright or overtly blue. No composition, width or rub-test data has been supplied for this colourway, so its suitability should be assessed from the visible cloth and the intended application.

How to use it

Use the almost-black navy on upholstery or full-length window treatments where its fine diagonal texture can add depth without introducing a pattern. It will sit cleanly with chalky whites, soft greys and warmer natural wood.

Pair this near-black navy with pale neutrals or warm timber to bring out its understated diagonal texture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
