About this fabric

This Dedar velvet is visually unpatterned, allowing the depth of its loden-green tone and the nap’s gentle tonal variation to provide the character. The colour reads cool, muted and earthy rather than bright, with a near-black depth at the edges and in the less reflective areas. A restrained surface sheen lifts the dense-looking pile without making the fabric appear glossy. As a velvet, it is particularly suited to upholstery where this dark, tactile colour can give seating a quietly luxurious presence.

How to use it

Pair Alexander Loden with warm timber, aged brass and stone to soften its shadowy green depth, or use it on a statement chair where the nap can catch changing light.

Use this deep loden green velvet to bring shadowy colour and softly changing depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
