Alexander Avorio

Velvet fabrics Velvet110

Alexander Avorio presents a soft ivory tone with a warm cream cast, shown here in a plain velvet with a delicately mottled surface. Its short pile catches the light unevenly, giving the pale colour quiet depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This Dedar velvet is coloured in a gentle avorio shade, sitting between creamy white and light natural beige. The close, short pile creates a fine tactile texture across the swatch, while subtle tonal variation gives the surface a softly brushed appearance. There is no visible printed motif; the interest comes from the nap and the lightly irregular shading. The restrained ivory colour keeps the overall effect calm, warm and quietly luxurious.

How to use it

Use Alexander Avorio on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its warm ivory tone can soften darker timber and contrast with deep olive, tobacco or charcoal accents. Its subtle surface variation also works well in a restrained, light-toned scheme without looking stark.

A softly mottled ivory velvet that brings gentle warmth and understated depth to upholstered furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
