MARA Jacquard - Tourmaline

fabric Fabric1-FA-MRA-JQ-TOU-XXX-XXX

MARA Jacquard in Tourmaline has a pale, dusty blush-pink ground with a delicate tonal pattern that appears to branch and drift across the surface. The softly flecked weave gives the colour gentle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This jacquard is woven in a muted blush pink, with slightly darker and lighter threads creating an irregular, almost mineral-like network across the face. The pattern remains understated at a distance, while the close view reveals a lightly napped, grainy texture and softly shifting tonal detail. Tourmaline reads warm, powdery and quietly decorative, with enough visual movement to avoid looking plain. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Tourmaline to upholster a relaxed occasional chair, headboard or footstool where its powdery pink tone can sit alongside warm neutrals, aged timber and brushed brass. It can also soften curtains in a room that needs subtle pattern without a strong contrast.

A softly textured blush jacquard that brings gentle colour and subtle pattern to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside MARA Jacquard - Tourmaline without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
