About this fabric

The colourway is notably dark and cool, with forest green carrying most of the ground and near-black squares adding considerable depth. Blue-grey overcheck lines provide restrained contrast, catching the light more lightly than the surrounding dark weave. The close diagonal texture visible across the face gives the tartan a substantial, durable-looking character suited to upholstery. Its medium-scale check reads clearly without overwhelming the furniture it covers.

How to use it

Use it on a traditional armchair, ottoman or bench where the forest-green ground can sit alongside walnut, aged leather and brushed metal. The near-black and blue-grey checks also make it a strong choice for a study or richly layered sitting room.

Use this deep forest-green tartan to bring traditional structure and cool, shadowy contrast to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
