Alpaka Shale

Alpaka Fabric

Alpaka Shale reads as a cool taupe grey, with the close surface catching the light gently across each fold. The fabric falls into soft, fluid ripples rather than holding a structured shape.

About this fabric

This plain Warwick fabric has a fine, closely textured face visible across the swatch, with a restrained sheen that becomes lighter along the raised folds. Its shale colouring sits between soft grey and muted taupe, giving the cloth a quiet, architectural depth rather than a warm beige cast. The fluid drape shown here makes it particularly natural for curtains, blinds and other relaxed window treatments. No composition, width, rub test or performance features have been supplied for this exact colourway.

How to use it

Use Alpaka Shale at full window height where its cool taupe-grey tone can soften a room without adding obvious colour. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and charcoal accents to echo the shade’s subtle tonal range.

A cool taupe-grey cloth with a softly lustrous face, suited to calm, tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
