About this fabric

This colourway has a richly shaded plum tone, cooler and darker in the recessed folds while the raised areas catch a restrained mauve highlight. Its close, even texture reads as a plain fine weave, with no visible motif or contrast pattern. The cloth gathers smoothly rather than holding a stiff shape, making its drape a defining feature. Across the swatch, the depth of colour gives the surface an intimate, luxe character without appearing glossy.

How to use it

Pair Alpaka Emperor with warm timber, smoked glass and soft stone to balance its deep aubergine tone. Used as generous curtains, its fluid folds will create a cocooning, low-light mood while retaining a refined finish.

Use this deep aubergine plum for full-length curtains or soft window treatments where its fluid folds and subdued sheen can add depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
