About this fabric

The medium-scale plaid combines broad burgundy and plum bands with finer red, blue-grey and muted teal lines, creating a deep, heathered appearance rather than a sharply high-contrast check. Its woven surface has a softly brushed, tactile look, visible in the fine diagonal texture across the swatch. The cool teal and grey accents cut through the warmer red tones, giving this colourway depth and a slightly moody character. Draped folds reveal gentle changes in the balance of plum, burgundy and charcoal-like shadow across the cloth.

How to use it

Use Bainbridge Heather on a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtains where its deep plum-burgundy tones can be balanced with dark timber, aged leather and muted teal accessories.

Pair the deep plum-burgundy ground with warm timber, charcoal or muted teal accents for a richly layered room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
