About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 140cm wide and made from 83% polyester and 17% cotton, with a 35cm pattern repeat and care code BQV1<. The swatch shows a calm heathered base in warm grey-beige, lifted by plum and olive-toned checks that read more brushed and lived-in than crisp. Its herringbone weave softens the tartan lines and gives the darker stripes a slightly shadowed edge. The overall effect is restrained and decorative, with enough contrast to register clearly without feeling loud.

How to use it

Use Melrose Heather to bring a quieter country-house note to armchairs, ottomans or a bench seat, where the plum lines can add interest against timber and neutral paintwork. It would also sit well at the window in a room with dusty greens, warm stone and aged brass.
