Moray Heather

Albany and Moray FabricCCF0293-14

Moray Heather is a muted mauve woven with a softly heathered surface. Its close-up texture shifts between dusty lilac, rose and grey-brown threads, giving the colour gentle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

At 509gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery applications where its dense-looking weave can provide visual weight. The 139cm usable width is practical for covering and cutting, while the 40m standard length supports larger upholstery schemes. With a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the surface can be aligned without matching a motif. Fine irregular slubs and tonal thread variation remain visible across the plain face, catching the light in a subdued, softly tactile way.

How to use it

Use Moray Heather on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard where its cool dusty mauve tone can soften deeper plum, charcoal and warm timber. Pair it with chalky neutrals and aged metallics to draw out the fabric’s greyed, quietly atmospheric character.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
