About this fabric
This 300 gsm textile has a rich damson tone that reads cool and shadowed, with subtle variation across the surface rather than a flat, synthetic-looking finish. The plain design has a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, making the colour and texture the sole visual focus. With a 144 cm usable width and a standard 35 m length, it is practical for coordinated upholstery and drapery projects. The dark purple shade gives tailored furniture or full-length curtains a quietly luxurious presence.
How to use it
Use Alvar Damson to deepen a room with plum-toned seating, headboards or generous curtains, then balance its shadowed purple with warm timber, aged brass or soft neutral upholstery. Its plain surface also works well where patterned cushions or a more decorative rug need to remain the focus.
