Amalfi Eggplant is a deep, dusky purple upholstery fabric with a subtle woven crosshatch visible across its surface. Its greyed eggplant tone gives the colour a restrained, atmospheric depth rather than a bright violet appearance.

About this fabric

The close plain weave creates a fine, quiet texture, with slight tonal shifts across the swatch as the light catches the surface. This colourway reads as a cool, muted eggplant purple, making its depth more understated than saturated. At 370gsm and 137cm usable width, it has the substantial handle suited to upholstery. With no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without pattern matching; the standard length is 40 metres.

How to use it

Pair the dusky eggplant tone with smoked timber, charcoal, warm neutrals or aged brass for a composed, low-contrast scheme. Its plain texture works particularly well on sofas, occasional chairs and upholstered headboards where the colour can provide depth without a visible motif.

Use this deep, greyed eggplant weave to bring quiet colour and visual depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
