About this fabric

The dense 509gsm construction gives Moray Ebony a substantial upholstery-weight handle, while the close, irregular weave keeps its finish quietly tactile rather than glossy. Its ebony ground shifts between charcoal, deep brown and muted grey as the light catches the fine horizontal and vertical threads. With a usable width of 139cm, it is practical for upholstered seating and panels. The design has a 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal pattern repeat, so the textured surface can be positioned without matching motifs; the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Moray Ebony on a tailored sofa, armchair or dining seat where its deep charcoal-brown tone can anchor warmer timber, bronze metal and softly coloured textiles. Its restrained woven texture also suits a dark, layered reading nook without introducing a bold pattern.

A dense ebony-toned weave for tailored upholstery with subtle surface movement.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
