Harlequin

Wood Frog Velvet Chocolate/Pistachio

Wood Frog Velvet Chocolate/Pistachio combines a deep chocolate-brown velvet ground with repeated sprays of pistachio foliage and pale botanical accents. The dark pile gives the colourway a rich, softly absorbing depth, while the yellow-green leaves remain clearly defined.

About this fabric

This colourway pairs a dark chocolate-brown velvet ground with closely spaced sprays of pistachio green leaves and small pale botanical details. The low, deep base gives the yellow-green foliage a subdued, earthy contrast rather than a bright or high-key effect. At 416 gsm and 137 cm wide, the substantial velvet construction supports its use for upholstery. Its 14.8 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats create a compact, even rhythm across the cloth.

How to use it

Use the chocolate ground on an occasional chair, headboard or statement seat where its depth can add visual weight. Echo the pistachio leaves with muted green accessories, or contrast them with warm timber and cream upholstery details.

Use the deep chocolate velvet on an occasional chair or statement seat, with pistachio accents picked up in cushions or painted furniture.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wood Frog Velvet Chocolate/Pistachio without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
