Gorgonian Espresso/Positar

Colour 1 Fabrics FabricHAF0432-01

Espresso/Positar sets Gorgonian’s branching botanical design against a deep, warm brown-black ground. Ivory and olive foliage lift the dark field, while muted rose accents add a restrained floral note.

About this fabric

Against an espresso-brown to charcoal ground, fine branching stems rise in closely packed vertical columns, picked out in chalky ivory, olive, muted blue-grey and small dusty-rose flowerheads. The repeated botanical arrangement measures 31.6 cm vertically by 65 cm horizontally, giving the surface a clearly organised, medium-scale rhythm rather than an open trailing pattern. At 314 gsm with 51 threads per cm, this is a substantial, closely constructed fabric with enough visual density for upholstery. The 131 cm usable width and 40 m standard length make it practical for cutting coordinated upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use the deep espresso ground on a statement armchair, dining chair or upholstered headboard, where the pale foliage will stand out against the dark base. Echo the muted olive and dusty-rose details with quiet accent cushions rather than bright contrasting colour.

A dark espresso ground gives the layered botanical repeat a tailored, dramatic presence on upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
