About this fabric

The design is visibly rich with overlapping palm fronds, radiating fan motifs and delicate linear leaf details, all picked out in soft black and charcoal against a pale ivory base. At 236 gsm and 141 cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 68 cm vertical repeat and 68.6 cm horizontal repeat create a substantial, easily appreciable botanical scale across a larger surface. With 74.1 threads per cm, the cloth has a closely constructed appearance that supports the intricate tonal layering of this Black Earth/Awakening colourway.

How to use it

Pair this charcoal-and-ivory colourway with warm timber, natural fibres and uncluttered upholstery to temper its dense foliage. It also works as dramatic full-height drapery, where the pale ground can lift the darker botanical forms.

Use this high-contrast botanical in a calm room where its charcoal foliage can provide graphic depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
