About this fabric

This Harlequin velvet weighs 416 gsm and has a 135 cm usable width, making it a substantial choice for upholstered seating. Stylised flowers and pointed leaves form a precise repeat measuring 39 cm vertically by 45 cm horizontally. Against the cool, almost navy ink ground, coral and dusty rose blooms provide warm contrast, while cream and pale aqua details lift the pattern. The dense composition and softly saturated palette create a confident, richly patterned finish rather than a quiet plain velvet.

How to use it

Use this Brazilian Rosewood/Ink colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or compact sofa, where the ink depth can anchor a room while coral and cream pick out warmer surrounding accents. Pair it with aged timber, muted teal or warm ivory to echo the swatch’s balanced mix of cool and warm tones.

A richly coloured velvet floral for upholstered seating, balancing deep ink grounds with coral, cream and green-blue detail.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Melora Velvet Brazilian Rosewood/Ink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
