Espectro Weaves FabricCCF0844-03

Atrio Marine/Spice is a dense, finely striated weave with marine blue threaded through warm spice, cream, taupe and charcoal-grey flecks. The close horizontal texture gives the swatch a softly varied surface, with the cooler blue balanced by earthy warmth.

About this fabric

A dense field of short horizontal marks gives this swatch a softly broken, textile-led surface rather than a bold graphic motif. Marine blue sits alongside rusted spice, warm cream, taupe and charcoal-grey flecks, so the colourway reads cool at first glance but gains warmth through the mixed yarn effect. At 451 gsm and 90 threads per cm, it has a substantial, closely woven construction suited to upholstery. The 142 cm usable width is worked with a 20 cm vertical and 14 cm horizontal repeat, and the standard length is 30 m.

How to use it

Pair this marine-and-spice colourway with warm timber, aged leather or chalky neutral upholstery to draw out its earthy flecks. Its finely broken surface works particularly well on a structured chair, sofa or headboard where the small-scale texture can be seen up close.

Use this substantial marine-and-spice weave on upholstery where its finely broken texture can add depth without a dominant motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
