Harlequin

Akari Oat/Blush

Akari Oat/Blush combines a warm oat ground with muted blush-pink zigzags in a closely woven geometric surface. The small-scale pattern creates a softly shifting rhythm rather than a bold, high-contrast statement.

About this fabric

Fine chevrons and stepped zigzags run across the swatch in alternating oat, blush and taupe-like shadow tones, giving the surface a gently variegated appearance. Its 13 cm vertical repeat and 5.3 cm horizontal repeat keep the motif compact and easy to read across upholstered forms. At 716 gsm and 190 threads per cm, this is a notably substantial, dense textile suited to upholstery rather than a fine, fluid drapery cloth. The 138.5 cm usable width provides practical coverage while preserving the close-set pattern across the fabric.

How to use it

Pair this warm oat-and-blush colourway with natural timber, chalky neutrals and softly aged metals. It works particularly well on a tailored armchair, dining seat or compact sofa where the fine zigzag texture can be seen at close range.

Use this substantial oat-and-blush weave on upholstery where its fine zigzag rhythm can add quiet pattern and warmth.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Akari Oat/Blush without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
