About this fabric

This substantial 716gsm fabric has a densely textured woven surface, with fine oat and straw threads creating repeated pointed chevrons across the face. The zigzag motif measures 13cm vertically and 5.3cm horizontally, producing a small, tightly spaced geometric effect rather than a bold oversized pattern. Its 138.5cm usable width makes it practical for upholstery panels and seating applications. With 190 threads per centimetre, the surface reads as compact and richly constructed, while the warm straw accents bring gentle depth to the neutral oat base.

How to use it

Use Akari Oat/Straw on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat alongside warm timber, natural linen and aged brass. Its muted oat tone can soften darker rooms without losing the crisp definition of the small chevron weave.
