Dakota Putty

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Putty reads as a soft, chalky beige with a subtly brushed, striated texture across the surface. Its warm neutral tone feels quietly tailored rather than stark, giving the cloth a calm, versatile presence.

About this fabric

From the Dakota Collection by Ashley Wilde, Dakota Putty is woven in 100% polyester and specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes. The fabric has a visible plain-textured finish with fine horizontal flecking and a gentle matte surface that softens the putty beige colour. At 147cm wide and tested to 60,000 severe contract rubs, it is built for hard use while still keeping a refined, understated look. The 300gsm weight gives it enough substance to hold shape neatly, which suits the relaxed but smart feel of the colourway. Its warm, muted neutrality makes the texture more apparent than the colour, so the cloth reads as depthful and easy to coordinate rather than flat.

How to use it

Use Dakota Putty on tailored sofas, ottomans or loose covers where a warm neutral base is needed without any harshness. It also works well for full-length drapes in rooms with wood, stone or bronze finishes, where the soft beige tone will pick up the light gently.

A soft putty neutral that layers easily with timber, linen and darker accent colours.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
