Dakota Slate

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Slate reads as a cool, muted grey with a softly weathered, brushed surface. The tonal texture gives the plain a layered, architectural look rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

From the Dakota Collection by Ashley Wilde, this fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes. The visible face is a slate-grey plain with charcoal undertones, crossed by irregular textural striations that create a stone-like, worn-in effect. At 147cm wide and tested to 60,000 rubs, it is built for hard-working interiors where a restrained colour is needed with dependable performance. The 300gsm weight and 441g linear meter give it enough substance for structured upholstery, while the textured surface keeps it from feeling too heavy visually.

How to use it

Use Dakota Slate on sofas, banquettes or dining chairs for a calm, tailored anchor. It pairs neatly with pale timber, black accents and softer neutrals when you want a cool, urban grey scheme.

A cool slate plain that works well on tailored upholstery and layered drapery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
