Blakesley Slate

Essential Weaves Vol 3 FabricEWV3BLAKESLEY

Blakesley Slate has a cool, misty grey ground with flowing tonal movement that reads like brushed stone in fabric form. The swirling texture gives the design depth without overpowering the room.

About this fabric

Woven from 68% Recycle Polyester, 26% Cotton and 6% Polyester, this Ashley Wilde fabric is made for drapes only and has a substantial 225gsm handle. The slate colourway sits in a pale, cool grey range, with slightly darker pencilled lines creating a fluid marbled effect across the cloth. Its 140cm width and 28cm vertical by 24cm horizontal repeat suit full-length curtains where the pattern can fall in an uninterrupted rhythm. The overall finish feels textural and refined rather than bold, with the movement in the weave becoming more noticeable as light shifts across it.

How to use it

Use Blakesley Slate for elegant curtains in living rooms, bedrooms or studies where a calm grey scheme is needed. It pairs well with chalk whites, pale timber and deeper charcoal accents for a layered, understated look.

A cool slate tone that gives the swirled texture a calm, tailored finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Blakesley Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
