Dritto Slate

Urban Fabric FabricCCF0734-04

Dritto Slate has a pale, cool slate-grey ground enlivened by horizontal lines of oatmeal, taupe and deeper grey. Its closely woven surface gives the colourway a quietly layered appearance, with a dry, tactile character rather than a flat plain finish.

About this fabric

Woven at 440gsm, Dritto Slate has the substantial handle expected of an upholstery fabric. Fine horizontal slubs and irregular flecks move across the surface, creating gentle tonal depth without a conventional motif; both pattern repeats are 0cm. The slate base reads cool in the image, while warmer beige and taupe threads soften its grey cast. With a useable width of 140cm and a standard length of 35m, it offers a practical format for upholstery schemes requiring a quietly textured plain.

How to use it

Use Dritto Slate on a sofa, armchair or headboard where its cool grey depth can anchor a room without appearing stark. Bring out the warmer oatmeal and taupe threads with natural oak, brushed brass, cream linen and softly weathered leather.

Use this substantial, softly flecked slate weave on upholstered seating, pairing it with warm timber, chalky neutrals and aged metal.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
