Bergen Charcoal

Vardo Sheers Fabric FabricCCF0658-01

Bergen Charcoal pairs cool charcoal depth with chalky ivory in an abstract, horizontally broken surface. Fine vertical striations and soft, clouded transitions make the dark areas read gently rather than starkly.

About this fabric

Bergen Charcoal is a cool charcoal-and-ivory colourway with irregular horizontal blocks that break into cloudy, brush-like marks. Fine vertical striations remain visible through the pale and dark areas, giving the surface a softly weathered, layered look rather than a flat solid ground. As a 117 gsm cloth with a 297 cm usable width, it is particularly suited to full-height curtains where the broad width can reduce joins. The design repeats at 70 cm vertically and horizontally, keeping the abstract pattern clearly legible across a hanging length.

How to use it

Use this cool charcoal-and-ivory colourway for full-length drapery in rooms needing depth without a hard black accent. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal to echo the fabric’s light-catching vertical texture.

A cool, painterly charcoal ground with ivory breaks for softly layered curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bergen Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
