About this fabric

Woven in 100% wool, this fabric has the reassuring body and matte finish you expect from a classic wool cloth. The plaid is set on a grey charcoal base, with narrow cream lines and deeper brown-grey crosses that give the design a subtle depth from across the room. Its repeat is approximately V 28cm and H 25cm, and the 152cm width offers good usability for larger furnishing projects. The overall effect is smart and understated, with the check reading more like a tailored menswear cloth than a bold tartan.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench or cushions where the charcoal check can add structure without overpowering the scheme. It works especially well with oak, aged brass and softer neutrals, where the cooler grey ground helps anchor the room.
