Atelier Fabrics FabricHAF0323-01

About this fabric
The design is formed from vertical rows of elongated oval leaves, linked by fine pale lines that create a regular lattice across the cloth. Its charcoal tone reads cool and muted, while the light pattern lines keep the surface crisp rather than dense. At 252 gsm and 137 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The pattern measures 32 cm vertically by 45.7 cm horizontally, with a listed thread count of 38 threads per cm.
How to use it
Use Rie Charcoal on a compact sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtain where its cool grey depth can anchor a room. Balance the pale leaf tracery with chalky whites, brushed metal and other quiet grey tones.
Pair the cool charcoal ground with pale timber, soft grey upholstery or crisp white curtains to emphasise the fine leaf lattice.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Rie Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
