Concept Slate Steel

Colour 1 Fabrics FabricHAF0024-08

Concept Slate Steel presents a cool, slate-grey ground crossed by fine stepped lines that form a precise, repeating geometric maze. Its tonal contrast is restrained, while the woven surface gives the design quiet depth.

About this fabric

The fabric is woven in a steel-grey and pale grey combination, with angular, concentric stepped motifs repeating across the surface. Fine linear detailing creates a measured geometric texture rather than a bold, high-contrast pattern. At 585 gsm, with 65 threads per centimetre, it has a substantial, compact handle suited to upholstery applications. The 140 cm usable width and 16.5 cm vertical repeat provide practical scale for upholstered panels and furniture fronts.

How to use it

Pair this cool slate-grey colourway with charcoal, chalk white and brushed metal for a crisp contemporary scheme. Its small-scale stepped pattern works especially well on tailored chairs, benches and headboards where the linear detail can remain clearly visible.

Use the cool slate-grey tone to bring tailored definition to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Concept Slate Steel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
