Amalfi Battleship

Amalfi Fabric44

Amalfi Battleship is a deep, battleship grey plain with a quiet, matte-looking surface and a slightly heathered depth in the pile. The shade feels cool and architectural, sitting firmly in the darker end of the neutral palette.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a close, even plain weave with a soft, dense handle that reads refined rather than shiny. The surface looks like a muted charcoal-grey with subtle brown undertones in the shadows, giving it a grounded, urban feel. Made from 100% polyester and specified for contract use, it is designed to stand up to demanding interiors, with a Martindale rating of 60,000. It is supplied back coated to cigarette and match to BS5852, and professional dry cleaning in situ is recommended for care. The overall effect is understated and practical, but still smart enough for polished seating schemes.

How to use it

Use this dark grey on built-in banquettes, dining chairs or a tailored sofa where you want depth without gloss. It pairs especially well with pale oak, black metal and crisp off-white accents for a strong, contemporary scheme.

A dark, low-key neutral that reads clean and contemporary on tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
