About this fabric

This plain fabric from the Amalfi collection by J Brown is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with a hard-wearing 60,000 Martindale rating. The swatch shows a dense, close surface in a dark aubergine tone, with subtle plum and brown undertones that make the colour feel grounded rather than bright. Its matte finish gives the shade a velvety depth, so the fabric absorbs light and appears especially moody in lower light. It is supplied back coated to cigarette & match to BS5852, and professional dry cleaning in situ is recommended, with further care guidance available in the pattern book.

How to use it

Use this colourway on upholstered dining chairs, banquettes or occasional seating where a dark, luxurious tone can anchor the room. It pairs well with warm wood, brass and soft neutrals, especially if you want the aubergine depth to stand out without feeling dramatic.
