Amalfi Charcoal

Amalfi Fabric20

Amalfi Charcoal is a deep, near-black plain with a soft matte look and a very subtle mottled depth in the pile. It reads as a serious, quietly tailored charcoal rather than a flat black.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a dense, low-sheen charcoal surface with barely-there tonal variation that gives it visual softness against the dark ground. As a 100% polyester contract fabric, it is designed for demanding settings, and its 60,000 Martindale rating underlines that hard-wearing brief. The swatch has the look of a sturdy upholstered textile rather than a light, fluid cloth, with a close, even finish that feels restrained and contemporary. It is supplied back coated to cigarette & match to BS5852, and other treatments are available upon request. Professional dry clean in situ is advised, with the pattern book to be consulted for further care instructions.

How to use it

Use Amalfi Charcoal to ground contemporary seating, banquettes or headboards where a darker, architectural finish is wanted. Its cool, shaded tone works especially well with pale timber, stone, brass and crisp off-white upholstery accents.

A dark, understated charcoal that suits tailored upholstery and contract schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
