About this fabric

Chamonix Anthracite from J Brown is a plain fabric with a compact, lightly textured face that reads as a dense anthracite black in the image. Made from 62% polyester and 38% cotton, it is specified for Heavy Domestic use and has a 35,000 martindale, making it a practical choice for everyday seating. The dark tone has a cool, muted depth, with a faint sheen only where the weave is lifted by the light. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is advised for care.

How to use it

Use this colourway to anchor a scheme with pale timber, stone or warm neutrals, where its deep blackened tone gives definition without introducing pattern. It also works well on a tailored sofa, dining chairs or a headboard when you want a crisp, modern contrast.
