About this fabric
Part of the Chamonix collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is woven in 62% polyester and 38% cotton and specified for heavy domestic use. The 35,000 Martindale rating makes it well suited to everyday seating, while the back coating to Cigarette & Match to BS5852 adds reassurance for upholstery projects. Visually, Chamonix Chocolate reads as a very dark, warm brown with an almost mossy depth in low light, softened by a fine linear weave that keeps the surface from looking flat. The finish feels matte and practical rather than shiny, which helps the shade work as a rich anchor colour in both contemporary and traditional interiors. Professional dry clean in situ is recommended, with further care guidance available in the pattern book.
How to use it
Use this shade on a tailored armchair, sofa or banquette where its dark chocolate tone can add weight without looking harsh. It pairs especially well with camel leather, oatmeal linen and aged brass for a warm, layered scheme.
A rich dark neutral that adds depth and warmth to seating schemes.

Pairs well with
Chamonix Chocolate is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
