About this fabric

This colourway shows a deep charcoal grey with a slightly softened, weathered edge, so it feels more muted than black and less stark than a pale slate. The plain weave is visible in the close texture, giving the surface a neat, compact handle that suits considered interior schemes. Made from 62% polyester and 38% cotton, it is specified for Heavy Domestic use and has a Martindale rating of 35,000, making it a practical choice for everyday seating. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is recommended.

How to use it

Use Flint on sofas, banquettes or dining chairs where a dark neutral will anchor the room without introducing pattern. Its cool charcoal tone pairs well with pale oak, chalky whites and brushed metal finishes.

A versatile dark neutral that works beautifully on tailored seating and clean-lined schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
