Geneva Slate

Geneva Fabric02

Geneva Slate reads as a deep charcoal-grey plain with a subtly nubbly surface and a low, matte finish. The close texture gives the colourway extra depth, making it feel more dimensional than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This colourway from the Geneva collection has a dark slate tone with blackened grey highlights that catch lightly across the surface. The visible texture is softly mottled and compact, giving the plain design a tactile, upholstered look rather than a smooth woven finish. It is made from 100% polyester and has a Martindale rating of 45,000, making it suitable for heavy domestic use. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it is a practical choice where performance and a restrained dark colour are both important. Professional dry clean in situ is recommended by a specialist cleaner used to handling this type of material.

How to use it

Use Geneva Slate on structured sofas, dining chairs or ottomans where the charcoal-grey tone can anchor a room. It pairs especially well with pale timber, brushed metal and softer greys for a layered, contemporary scheme.

A dark, textural neutral that works well on tailored seating or crisp cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
