About this fabric
This colourway reads as a deep charcoal with blackened undertones, with the nap and surface texture catching the light in fine, uneven highlights. As part of the Geneva collection by J Brown, it is a 100% polyester fabric designed for Heavy Domestic use and tested to 45,000 Martindale, making it well suited to hard-working seating. The back-coated finish is supplied to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request. Its plain design and compact textured handle give it a refined, contemporary look rather than a flat, uniform black.
How to use it
Use Geneva Marine on sofas, armchairs, or banquette seating where a dark, practical neutral will ground the room. It pairs well with pale woods, warm metals, and softer greys to lift the depth of the colour.
