Kobi Noir

Kobi Fabric12

Kobi Noir is a dark, quietly textured plain with a tightly woven surface that reads almost black with a softer charcoal grain. The tiny flecks in the weave lift the shade just enough to keep it from looking flat.

About this fabric

This colourway has a deep blackened tone with a faintly mottled, peppered weave that adds movement across the surface. Made from 100% polyester, it is specified for heavy domestic use and achieves a 40,000 Martindale, making it a practical choice for busy seating. The fabric’s plain design style is softened by the visible texture, which catches the light in small greyed highlights rather than a glossy sheen. It is supplied back coated to cigarette & match to BS5852, and other treatments are available upon request. After care is professional dry clean in situ, please refer to the pattern book for further care instructions.

How to use it

Pair this noir shade with pale oak, warm stone and brushed metal for a crisp, contemporary contrast. It also works well as a grounding neutral in a monochrome scheme where the subtle weave adds texture rather than pattern.

Use for tailored seating where a deep, textural black brings subtle depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
