Alchemy Charcoal

Alchemy Fabric

Alchemy Charcoal shows a deep charcoal ground with a subtle woven sheen that catches the light across the folds. The surface reads dark and smoky rather than flat black, with a soft, textural finish.

About this fabric

Woven in a 56% cotton, 44% polyester blend, Alchemy Charcoal has the look of a substantial decorative fabric with enough body for both furnishings and window treatments. The 140cm width and 0cm pattern repeat make it straightforward to cut and pattern match, while the visible weave gives the shade a slightly mottled, tactile character. In this colourway the charcoal tone sits close to black, but the light reveals cooler grey notes and a gentle lustre on the raised folds. Care code BQV1< should be checked before cleaning, as the fabric’s textured surface will benefit from careful handling.

How to use it

Pair this charcoal with pale stone, putty or soft oak to sharpen the contrast, or use it with matte black and smoked metal for a more architectural scheme. Its deep, cool tone works especially well when you want the fabric to add depth without introducing a strong pattern.

Use for tailored upholstery or fuller curtains when you want a deep, modern charcoal with subtle movement.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
