About this fabric

This Larsen fabric from the Conga collection is woven in a 40% virgin wool blend with viscose, cotton, polyester and linen, giving the cloth a structured handle and visible textile character. The repeat is 7cm vertically, half drop, and approximately 7cm horizontally, which keeps the check orderly and compact across the width. In this colourway, the ebony ground reads dark and grounded while the lighter squares lift the pattern without making it feel stark. The weave has a slightly slubbed, artisanal look that softens the geometry and suits upholstery where a smart but relaxed finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Jeff Ebony on a sofa, occasional chair or banquette where the small check can read clearly from a distance. Pair it with oak, aged brass or warm neutrals to bring out the natural notes in the weave.

A crisp monochrome check with a tailored feel for clean-lined seating or accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
